🇺🇸 100% USA-Made by Hand
The steel is sourced from the United States, forged, and finished by hand in my backyard shop. The handle wood is sourced from small, family-run businesses in AZ, MT (women-owned), and WI. I aim to make something with character and integrity you can feel, perfectly balanced, in your hand. Materials & Construction

8670 high-carbon steel blade delivers toughness, edge stability, and a lively feel on the cutting board without unnecessary weight.

Wavy Mango wood handle was selected for its warmth, movement, natural character, and striking contrast with the 4,000-year-old Bogwood bolster, which also adds a subtle forward balance point in hand. Finished with a single nickle silver spacer between the woods for a clean transition between materials.

Brute de Forge finish, French for "rough from the forge", the textured area of the blade, near the spine, is a natural oxide layer on the steel formed during hand-forging and heat treatment. It preserves the character of each hammer strike, creating a unique surface pattern that contrasts beautifully with the knife’s polished edge and bevel.

Hidden tang construction hides the blade in the continuous wooden handle for an organic, comfortable hand feel and an attention to detail that rewards close inspection while remaining understated and functional.

Care Info

High-carbon steel offers incredible sharpness and character, but it requires a little extra care. Treat your knife like a cast-iron skillet: use it often, keep it clean and dry, and it will reward you for a lifetime.

Important key tip — Always wipe and dry your knife frequently while cooking to maintain your knife's longevity and performance.

Basic High Carbon Steel Knife Care

  • Always keep your knife blade dry and clean.
  • Keep the wooden handle dry to prevent cracking or splitting.
  • Wash with warm soapy water - no abrasive sponges or pads.
  • Regularly maintain the edge with a leather strop or honing rod (steel or ceramic) to keep it sharp.
